An excellent painted trunk possibly German or Scandanavian, these trunks were often painted with the date of someones wedding and given as a wedding gift, full of presents.

The trunk dates from c.1880 and has the date it was given as a wedding trunk painted on the front 1908.

It is in excellent condition with original hinges and traditional soap tray inside.
